Secondary profession..
I am a Samurai Roleplayer who has recently started a new Monk character, Saicho Kenshin. I was considering making him a Mo/W for the purpose of roleplaying a Monk with a Hammer.
Being relativly new to the game I am not sure if this combination would be at all affective, due to the lack of the Strenght ability of the primary warrior. Is this a major problem? Any suggestions? |

You can make a decent smiter monk build with a Mo/W if you have a good number of skills + elites available to you. Just for a healer or protector, other secondaries would be more effective to help keep you alive - especially in 8v8.

The biggest problem you'll have is the armour. Monk armour is much weaker than warrior armour, so you'll be taking a load more damage.
Hammer skills don't rely on strength too much; they're based on "Hammer mastery", mostly. You'll not do as much damage as a Strength-based warrior would, but you'll have more energy and better healing. |

A plus is that you'll be snatched up for groups right away.A MONK? HOLY SHIT get him in our group. A minus is that you wont be very strong in beggining levels.
